Around the Jedox World
April was a busy month for Jedox events and engagements worldwide. Highlights include:
CFO Nordic Summit 2025 (Stockholm, April 8):
Jedox joined hundreds of finance leaders at this event, where Jedox’s Michael Banke spoke on a panel about AI implementation in finance linkedin.com. The discussion – titled “AI is complex, but people are even more” – explored how AI and the human side of change intersect in financial transformation.
Jedox Roadshow 2025 – Berlin (April 18):
The Berlin stop of the global “Jedox Elevate 2025” roadshow brought finance professionals together to explore Jedox’s vision for unified planning and analytics. Attendees experienced hands-on sessions, expert insights, and peer networking — all designed to inspire smarter, connected planning. The roadshow continues with Vienna on May 22 (hpartner.at) and APAC cities later in the year.
Platform Tech Update
Jedox 2025.1 – the spring platform update released on April 9, 2025 – delivers powerful new features in planning, AI, and user experience knowledgebase.jedox.com.
This major update (often dubbed the “Spring Update 25.1”) is guided by Jedox’s three core pillars: a Digital Business Twin, Customer-Centric design, and Hyperautomation. Key technical enhancements include:
Bill of Materials (BOM) Planning:
A new BOM calculation feature breaks down finished products into their components and production steps jedox.com. This supports integrated business planning by linking operational data to financial plans. (In fact, it lays the groundwork for Jedox’s upcoming Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) solution, unifying finance and operations in one model jedox.com.)
AI & JedoxAI Enhancements:
The latest platform continues to infuse AI into enterprise planning. JedoxAI, the built-in generative AI assistant, allows users to ask natural-language questions about KPIs and get instant analysis or recommendations jedox.comjedox.com.
Under the hood, JedoxAI uses GenAI to produce multi-dimensional reports (so-called “Dynatables”) based on your query and can even generate narrative summaries of the results. (For example, ask “How did Q1 sales compare to last year?” and Jedox can return an interactive table and a written highlight of the variance).
Crucially, all AI processing occurs within Jedox’s secure Azure environment jedox.com – meaning your data stays private. AI is becoming a true digital business partner in Jedox, accelerating insight generation for faster decision-making.
Write-Back in Dynatables:
Planners can now enter data directly into Jedox’s interactive “Dynatable” reports and have those values saved to the database in real time jedox.com. This turns Dynatables into two-way planning forms. With appropriate permissions, end users can adjust a budget number in a Dynatable cell and that change is immediately written back to the central model (with full audit trail and data validation).
This dramatically streamlines data input compared to traditional web reports. Plus, visual cues clearly distinguish editable vs. read-only cells, and granular role-based rights ensure users only edit what they’re allowed to jedox.comjedox.com – keeping data governance intact even as flexibility improves.
Corporate Identity Themes:
Consistency meets convenience with the new Themes feature for styling. Jedox now lets you define a centralised theme (colours, fonts, logos) to enforce your corporate branding across all dashboards and reports jedox.comjedox.com. Initially applied to charts and Canvas dashboards, this “CI cockpit” means no more manual reformatting – every chart can automatically use your company’s palette and typography. You can upload custom font files (up to nine) and set colour palettes, then apply them with one click jedox.com.
The result is a polished, on-brand look in every report, and it saves considerable time for your BI/finance teams. (Expect this theming capability to expand to more components in future releases, further reducing the effort to produce professional, branded reports.)
Performance & Integration Tweaks:
Under the hood, Jedox 25.1 also brings hyperautomation benefits. Data integration is easier with support for Google Sheets authentication and the ability to load JSON data without a root element jedox.com. An updated Integrator now supports PGP file encryption for secure data transfers jedox.com. Other quality-of-life improvements include smoother scrolling in web reports, larger file upload limits (2 GB, up from 2 MB) for models knowledgebase.jedox.com and multi-core processing for faster report calculations knowledgebase.jedox.com.
All these enhancements ensure a faster, more efficient planning experience for users.
Across the Jedox Ecosystem
The Jedox partner and customer ecosystem continued to expand in April, underscoring Jedox’s global reach:
